Check the top section where the opener arm bracket is bolted, since a door that flexed under load pulls hardest right there. Finally look at the header and jamb wood itself. In older detached garages behind the near-south-side neighborhoods, the framing has usually taken decades of weather, and a lag in soft wood cannot hold a design gust.

Pull the release cord, lift the door by hand, and get the car out if you need it, but do not leave a heavy door held up by a bent rail. Correct jamb bracket spacing with lags into framing, rather than into the jamb trim, is the second. On a replacement door, ask what wind load the specific model is built for and get the answer in writing, and ask whether the springs are being sized for the new door's actual weight rather than the old one's.
